About Adela | |
|
|
She is a bit of a diva and definitely does not like other cats or dogs. She would also not be recommended to be around small children and she needs lots of play to keep her energy levels down.
She was not around other cats as a kitten and was not taught kitty manners, so she has a bit of singleton syndrome. She is a wonderful cat and very affectionate, but can be a little play aggressive so will need to continue to work on seeing your feet as toys.
Provide a stimulating environment
- Offer cat trees, perches, and hideaways
- Provide hanging toys with catnip
- Provide interactive toys
Reduce feelings of loneliness
- Leave the cat quietly while they are occupied
- Avoid playing with or picking up the cat right before leaving
Signs of single cat syndrome
- Excessive vocalization
- Destructive behavior, like chewing wires or scratching walls
- Aggression
- Depression
- Excessive neediness towards humans
- Obsessively suckling on clothing, hair, or other pets
- Biting when you try to walk away
